David Gilmour lançou mais um single de seu tão aguardado novo álbum. Desta vez, o frontman e guitarrista do Pink Floyd apresentou aos fãs “Between Two Points”, interpretada por sua filha Romany Gilmour. Gabriel, outro filho do músico, também participa da gravação fazendo os vocais de fundo.

A faixa é uma versão da dupla de indie pop Montgolfier Brothers, que surgiu no final dos anos 90 e encerrou suas atividades em 2020, após a morte do baterista Roger Quigley. Gilmour era fã da canção lançada em 2005 e acreditava que fosse bastante conhecida, o que não é o caso – no Spotify, ela tem pouco mais de 26 mil audições e nem é a faixa mais popular do duo na plataforma.

“Between Two Points (With Romany Gilmour)” chega após “The Piper’s Call”, o single que marcou o anúncio de “Luck and Strange” há alguns meses. Este será apenas o sexto álbum solo de Gilmour, incluindo “Metallic Spheres”, gravado com a dupla de tecno The Orb. O novo disco será lançado em 6 de setembro e será acompanhado por uma turnê mundial.
